Part 7 of the series will examine the manifestations of "utterance", which include prophecy, tongues, and the interpretation of tongues. Prophecy is defined as declaring the mind of God for the edification, exhortation, and comfort of the church. Tongues, a supernatural language, assists believers in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving to God, uniquely edifying the individual. The interpretation of tongues reveals these deep expressions of worship to the entire congregation, ensuring all are edified and the ultimate manifestation of true biblical love is produced. These manifestations are all intended for the common good of the body of Christ, not personal gratification, and must be exercised in love and order.
