Pastor Lowell teaches on Galatians 4:28-31 "Children of Promise" on 2/23/2025 for our Sunday Service.
Galatians 4:28-31
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. 29 But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.
30 Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? "Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman."
31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.
Paul is continuing to teach the Christians of Galatia about the path and the conflict of the legalists and Judaizers through the scriptures. Paul has taught about thee covenant of works that the Judaizers are seeking and the covenant of faith in Jesus Christ that he has sought. Paul now teaches of the conflict of the two children. The child of the flesh persecuted the child of promise. The legalist will always struggle with grace. That persecution continues even to this day toward all the sons and daughters who are part of the new covenant of Faith in Jesus Christ.
